A short sad story from my life

When I was young, maybe in 2nd or 3rd class, I used to put an exclamation mark (!) after every sentence. Like this: I ate a bowl of corn flakes today! or We all went to eat ice cream last night!
But my English teacher told me, “Mitika, you do not put an exclamation mark after every sentence. You are supposed to use it at the end of a sentence when it is exciting.”
And it confused me because I always thought that everything is exciting.
Do not let society define what is happiness for you. Create your own happiness, excitement, and charm!
